					<description><![CDATA[Thank you for your ultra simple instructions for pressure canning wild greens....I just finished a batch of Lambs Quarter and looking forward to taking this off the shelf this winter! However, I have one comment about the lid instructions. The Ball lids I use for all my canning state not to boil them as this will damage the orange band of seal. Instead, they instruct you to simply wash them in hot, soapy water, rinse well, and if you want keep them in a pan of hot water that is no hotter than a very slow simmer. Back in the old days, the seal needed to be boiled to soften it before use, to insure a good seal.  However, today the product used for the seal doesn&#039;t need to be boiled to activate it. 

Now, I&#039;m going to go out and see if I can find some Pigweed....I]]></description>
