Not just for students but anyone. I live in the country and anytime I visit the city I even determine how I would escape as we are driving in the car. Then in a store or building we quietly determine where we would escape from if needed. As well my wife carries a compact in her purse in case we need it. I carry a celox pack at all times as I never know when it is needed. It has become a habit because on our farm accidents happen and no emt is around. So for me carry one all the time was an easy transition. Maybe students shroud at least carry this as it does work to stop bleeding
